I haven't got a clue what is happening. Do they need to dig up the roads again? Is that why they have left them in such a state? I know they did a lot of work on the drains but the roads should be returned to the way they were.

Somebody who doesn't live in this estate commented to me that Pembroke Wood was now the dirtiest estate in Passage. Isn't that something to be proud of?????

Does any one know what is happen with the estate? The roads are being dug up,for what reason,I don`t know. By Pembroke Meadows is shocking, when the rain starts and the cars driving over this it will soon turn into a giant pot hole, as this is a main road in and out of the estate.

Anyone who has info on anything please please let us all know.

Many thanks

Emma its great to be optimistic but i agree with Audrey, don't hold your breath on anything getting done. I personally am worn down with making phonecalls and getting nowhere. I travel a lot and could never commit to the residents commitee other than with litter picks. there are a lot of great people in the estate but just not enough to make a difference! that's my opinion!

Hi emmajam

We have been through all this with the grass cutting for the last few years, every year our estate looks appalling and various people (it used to be the residents committee) spend the summer ringing Supples in vain. It is left to get so long that when it is cut it still looks awful for a while afterwards.

I wouldn't hold your breath on the "positive feedback" posts, because there wont be positive feedback until positive things start to happen in this estate. Supples couldn't give a damn about Pembroke Wood, there are many serious problems going in this estate which you may not be aware of and lots of residents are living a miserable life in here because of situations that arose as a result of Supples not fulfilling their obligations.

Hi there,

I am new to the estate and have to admit that after reading all these entries, it casts a fairly negative portrayal of the estate.

I find it a bit strange looking back at the entries over the past few weeks that so many people were giving out over the state of the grass areas on the estate - and yet now that they have been cut (which must be a good thing!) people are still cribbing - but now they are cribbing over the competence of the contractor. Surley this is mad. If people have concerns over certian areas surley they could have phoned this IPH company - i pass their sign every day and it has thier phone number on it, . I personally think that the grass areas around the estate were left get too long and the park looked terrible - however the grass areas are now cut and look well and will hopefully be maintained Manor Homes.
Also, i would assume that the works being carried out by IPH are necessary or Manor Homes surely would not be paying them if they thought they could get away without doing this work.? I do agree that the site in the centre of the estate is an eye sore and quiet embarrassing , however again i assume this will be cleared when the works around the estate are finished. Surley all this work will be beneficial to the estate when it is finished and at least we are now seeing Manor Homes finishing the estate?

As i say i am new to this, but i do hope that some positive feed backs will start to appear on this site which will surely benefit our estate?

Thanks

Hi There,

I'm probably a bit out of touch with the plans to hand the estate over to the council but if we have to be happy with the estate before the hand over then why is the boundary wall at the top of the estate not an issue we are looking at?

I live at the top of Pembroke Park Drive and every day there are kids from 2 - 20 hopping over the temporary gate and going up into the scrubland above the estate.. This evening alone 3 car loads of teenage boys just off loaded bags of drink and radio's etc. all set for an evening of partying. Other days there are kids mitching off school, hanging around.. the area has been set on fire twice and I also believe a young girl was assaulted up there.

This temporary structure is unslightly, dangerous to our kids, and causing anti-social behavior and I believe it should be looked at as a higher priority than setting some trees otherwise our estate will become a no go area..

Please let me know if anyone knows of the plans for this boundary wall

Thanks..

***** INFO Re: Recent water works in Pembroke Wood *********

As part of the ongoing works around the estate, pipe works were carried out yesterday that effected the mains water supply of the apartments. (At least along the Avenue)

Since the water was switched back on yesterday, it's been unclean. I called the councils water caretaker on "087 6316309", he was aware of the works being carried out by PHI. He was helpful and said he would get in contact with PHI and if necessary have them re-flush the system.

If anyone else has issues with their water supply or quality they should give the water caretaker a call on the number above. I believe the more calls or complaints he gets the more care PHI will be forced to take when carrying out their work.

Does anybody know anyone who was on the residents commitee before, maybe they would have a better idea of what has been agreed although the minutes on this site are quite comprehensive.

Audrey,
Not sure if IPH will be responsible for the landscaping of the estate, don`t even know what they are responsible for. The grass cutting was a joke, from what I can see there are two small greens one large green and the entrance to the estate forgotten. I don`t know what to do now,any suggestions?

Hi Caroline

I think there was things like correcting a name plate on one of the roads, putting up a name at the entrance to the estate. I would be worried that the IPH Developments are going to be responsible for the landscaping after seeing their grass cutting skills. Who Manor Park get back to if there is no Residents Association?
